The Sugar-Salem Diggers basketball squad (Sugar City, ID), was nudged 58-55 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Snake River Panthers (Blackfoot, ID)

With the victory, Snake River advances its record to 14-1 on the year. The Panthers travel to Bear Lake (Montpelier, ID) to meet the Bears in a 4A South East Idaho battle on Thursday, January 30. The Bears enter the battle with a record of 3-10. Bear Lake lost 52-49 in their recent non-league battle against West Jefferson (Terreton, ID)

The Diggers now own a 11-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ririe for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 25. Sugar-Salem will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 49-39 league win over Firth (Firth, ID). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-6.
