North Carolina High School Basketball - Surry Central nips West Wilkes

January 24, 2025: Millers Creek, NC 28651

In Friday's league contest, the visiting Surry Central Golden Eagles basketball team scored a close 63-58 win over the West Wilkes Blackhawks.

The Golden Eagles (12-3) will now prepare for their contest against Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC). The Eagles come into the 2A Foothills contest with a 9-9 record. In their last contest, Wilkes Central was tipped by North Surry (Mount Airy, NC), 76-43, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Blackhawks battle the Forbush Falcons (East Bend, NC) in a 2A Foothills contest, on Tuesday, January 28. West Wilkes will attempt to better on its 5-13 season record. The Falcons come into the contest with a 0-17 record after their 62-56 non-league loss to Starmount (Boonville, NC).
