The Amelia County Raiders basketball team scored 51 points and limited the visiting Cumberland Dukes to 43 in the Raiders league triumph on Friday.

The Raiders now possess a 5-9 record. They play next when they host Randolph-Henry for a James River game on Tuesday, January 28. Amelia County will confront a Statesmen team coming off a 67-20 league loss to Prince Edward County (Farmville, VA). The Statesmen record now stands at 1-12.

With the loss, Cumberland falls to 10-5 on the campaign. The Dukes host Buckingham (Buckingham, VA) to confront the Knights in a James River game on Saturday, January 25. The Knights go into the game with a record of 8-3. Buckingham won 38-10 in their recent non-league game against Nelson County (Lovingston, VA)
