Texas High School Basketball - Americas fells Bel Air

The Americas Trail Blazers basketball team scored 48 points and limited the host Bel Air Highlanders to 40 in the Trail Blazers league triumph on Friday.

The Trail Blazers now hold a 24-3 record. They play next when they host Horizon for a 5A Region I District 2 challenge on Tuesday, January 28. Americas will battle a Scorpions team coming off a 50-24 league loss to El Dorado (El Paso, TX). The Scorpions record now stands at 8-18.

In their next game, the Highlanders battle the Deming Wildcats (Deming, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Bel Air will attempt to improve on its 15-10 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 12-5 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Da Vinci (El Paso, TX).
