The Archbishop Mitty Monarchs basketball team scored 78 points and limited the visiting Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory Fightin' Irish to 33 in the Monarchs league triumph on Friday.

The Monarchs now have a 14-3 record. They play next when they travel to Saint Francis for a West Catholic game on Tuesday, January 28. Archbishop Mitty will confront a Lancers team coming off a 63-51 league win over St. Ignatius College Preparatory (San Francisco, CA). The Lancers record now stands at 14-3.

With the loss, Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory falls to 11-6 on the campaign. The Fightin' irish travel to Archbishop Riordan (San Francisco, CA) to confront the Crusaders in a West Catholic game on Thursday, January 30. The Crusaders go into the game with a record of 12-5.
