The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Banks County Leopards (Homer, GA) and the visiting Oglethorpe County Patriots (Lexington, GA), observed Banks County's basketball team overwhelm Oglethorpe County by a score of 67-25.

The Leopards (15-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Commerce (Commerce, GA). The Tigers come into the A D1 Region 8 challenge with a 6-13 record. In their last challenge, Commerce was routed by Oglethorpe County (Lexington, GA), 64-50, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Patriots encounter the Providence Christian Academy Storm (Lilburn, GA) in a A D1 Region 8 challenge, on Saturday, January 25. Oglethorpe County will attempt to improve on its 4-14 season record. The Storm come into the challenge with a 10-8 record after their 56-50 non-league win over Blessed Trinity (Roswell, GA).
