The George Washington Eagles basketball team scored 48 points and limited the visiting Bassett Bengals to 29 in the Eagles league triumph on Friday.

The Eagles now have a 6-7 record. They play next when they host Charlottesville for a non-league game on Monday, January 27. George Washington will confront a Black Knights team coming off a 58-55 non-league win over Handley (Winchester, VA). The Black Knights record now stands at 14-2.

With the loss, Bassett falls to 7-7 on the campaign. The Bengals travel to Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA) to confront the Warriors in a Piedmont game on Tuesday, January 28. The Warriors go into the game with a record of 11-5.
