The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Big Sandy Pioneers (Big Sandy, MT) and the visiting Cascade Badgers (Cascade, MT), observed Big Sandy's basketball team overwhelm Cascade by a score of 76-47.
The Pioneers (8-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Turner (Turner, MT). The Tornadoes enter the C District 9 battle with a 4-5 record. In their last battle, Turner walloped North Star (Rudyard, MT), 57-46, in a league battle.
The Badgers now own a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Toole County for a C District 10 battle on Saturday, January 25. Cascade will meet a Refiners squad coming off a 56-19 league loss to Augusta (Augusta, MT). The Refiners record now stands at 2-3.
