The McLeod Longhorns basketball team scored 46 points and limited the host Big Sandy Wildcats to 38 in the Longhorns league triumph on Friday.

The Longhorns now have a 13-16 record. They play next when they host Linden-Kildare for a 2A Region III District 21 game on Tuesday, January 28. McLeod will confront a Tigers team coming off a 42-12 league win over Ore City (Ore City, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 8-10.

With the loss, Big Sandy falls to 3-17 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Sabine Pass (Sabine Pass, TX) to confront the Sharks in a non-league game on Saturday, January 25. The Sharks go into the game with a record of 3-7.
