The Saginaw Rough Riders basketball squad (Saginaw, TX), was crushed 48-17 in Friday's league battle with the host Brewer Bears (Fort Worth, TX)

With the victory, Brewer advances its record to 22-9 on the year. The Bears travel to Granbury (Granbury, TX) to meet the Pirates in a 5A Region I District 5 battle on Tuesday, January 28. The Pirates enter the battle with a record of 18-12. Granbury won 50-38 in their recent league battle against Azle (Azle, TX)

The Rough Riders now own a 13-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Aledo for a 5A Region I District 5 battle on Tuesday, January 28. Saginaw will meet a Bearcats squad coming off a 55-52 league win over Fossil Ridge (Keller, TX). The Bearcats record now stands at 18-11.
