The Butternut Midgets basketball team scored 56 points and limited the visiting Hurley Northstars to 55 in the Midgets league triumph on Friday.

The Midgets now possess a 8-8 record. They play next when they host Mellen for a Northern Lights game on Monday, January 27. Butternut will confront a Granite Diggers team coming off a 50-45 league loss to Washburn (Washburn, WI). The Granite Diggers record now stands at 7-6.

With the loss, Hurley falls to 6-9 on the campaign. The Northstars travel to Bayfield (Bayfield, WI) to confront the Trollers in a Northern Lights game on Monday, January 27. The Trollers go into the game with a record of 2-12. Bayfield lost 92-28 in their recent league game against Solon Springs (Solon Springs, WI)
