In Friday's league contest, the host Gilmer County Titans basketball team scored a big 77-35 triumph over the Calhoun Red Devils.
The Titans (9-2) will now prepare for their contest against Trinity Christian (Morgantown, WV). The Warriors go into the non-league contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Trinity Christian smashed Magnolia (New Martinsville, WV), 44-37, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Red Devils battle the Webster County Highlanders (Upper Glade, WV) in a Little Kanawha - East contest, on Saturday, January 25. Calhoun will attempt to better on its 3-7 season record. The Highlanders go into the contest with a 5-5 record after their 38-16 league win over Braxton County (Sutton, WV).
