The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Oscoda Owls (Oscoda, MI) and the visiting Central Wolves (Bay City, MI), observed Oscoda's basketball team overwhelm Central by a margin of 49-23.

The Owls (10-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Rogers City (Rogers City, MI). The Hurons come into the North Star - Big Dipper challenge with a 7-4 record. In their last challenge, Rogers City was trounced by Tawas Area (Tawas City, MI), 49-28, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Wolves battle the Grand Blanc Bobcats (Grand Blanc, MI) in a Saginaw Valley challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Central will attempt to better on its 1-11 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 7-7 record after their 63-19 non-league win over Lapeer East (Lapeer, MI).
