In Friday's league contest, the visiting Chester-Joplin-Inverness Hawks basketball team scored a close 56-49 win over the Turner Tornadoes.
The Hawks (8-2) will now prepare for their contest against Hays-Lodge Pole (Hays, MT). The Thunder Birds come into the C District 9 contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Hays-Lodge Pole edged North Star (Rudyard, MT), 37-29, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Tornadoes battle the Big Sandy Pioneers (Big Sandy, MT) in a C District 9 contest, on Saturday, January 25. Turner will attempt to better on its 4-7 season record.
