South Carolina High School Basketball - Fairfield Central nudges Chester

January 24, 2025: Chester, SC 29706

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Fairfield Central Griffins (Winnsboro, SC) and the host Chester Cyclones (Chester, SC), observed Fairfield Central's basketball team edge Chester by a score of 40-33.

The Griffins (6-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Clinton (Clinton, SC). The Red Devils come into the non-league challenge with a 13-4 record. In their last challenge, Clinton edged Mid-Carolina (Prosperity, SC), 49-39, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Cyclones encounter the Eau Claire Shamrocks (Columbia, SC) in a AA Region 3 challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Chester will attempt to improve on its 9-5 season record. The Shamrocks come into the challenge with a 10-6 record after their 52-23 league win over Columbia (Columbia, SC).
