Rhode Island High School Basketball - Ponaganset routs Classical

January 24, 2025: North Scituate, RI 02857

In Friday's league contest, the host Ponaganset Chieftains basketball team scored a big 80-30 win over the Classical Purple.

The Chieftains (13-1) will now prepare for their contest against Chariho (Wood River Junction, RI). The Chargers come into the Division I contest with a 3-10 record. In their last contest, Chariho was trounced by Tolman/Shea (Pawtucket, RI), 61-50, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Purple battle the Westerly Bulldogs (Westerly, RI) in a Division I contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Classical will attempt to better on its 1-10 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 9-5 record after their 50-11 non-league win over Juanita Sanchez Complex (Providence, RI).
