The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Eau Claire Shamrocks (Columbia, SC) and the host Columbia Capitals (Columbia, SC), observed Eau Claire's basketball team overwhelm Columbia by a score of 52-23.

The Shamrocks (10-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Chester (Chester, SC). The Cyclones come into the AA Region 3 challenge with a 9-5 record. In their last challenge, Chester was routed by Fairfield Central (Winnsboro, SC), 40-33, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Capitals encounter the Mid-Carolina Rebels (Prosperity, SC) in a AA Region 3 challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Columbia will attempt to improve on its 0-12 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 4-12 record after their 49-39 league loss to Clinton (Clinton, SC).
