In Friday's league contest, the host Creekview Mustangs basketball team scored a big 57-8 win over the Turner Lions.

The Mustangs (15-8) will now prepare for their contest against Wakeland (Frisco, TX). The Wolverines come into the 5A Region II District 12 contest with a 25-6 record. In their last contest, Wakeland was trounced by Highland Park (Dallas, TX), 42-38, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Lions battle the Lone Star Rangers (Frisco, TX) in a 5A Region II District 12 contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Turner will attempt to better on its 2-20 season record. The Rangers come into the contest with a 12-15 record after their 59-51 league win over Reedy (Frisco, TX).
