Texas High School Basketball - Fort Bend Elkins can't hold off Fort Bend Bush

Fort Bend Bush Broncos (Richmond, TX) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Fort Bend Elkins Knights (Missouri City, TX), 56-51 in a league match.

With the victory, Fort Bend Bush advances its record to 10-19 on the year. The Broncos host Fort Bend Travis (Richmond, TX) to face the Tigers in a 6A Region III District 21 match on Tuesday, January 28. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 18-14. Fort Bend Travis lost 50-45 in their recent league match against Fort Bend Austin (Sugar Land, TX)

The Knights now own a 12-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fort Bend Dulles for a 6A Region III District 21 match on Tuesday, January 28. Fort Bend Elkins will face a Vikings squad coming off a 66-43 league loss to Ridge Point (Missouri City, TX). The Vikings record now stands at 6-24.
