In Friday's league contest, the host Genoa Central Dragons basketball squad scored a nice 56-42 victory over the Smackover Buckaroos.
With the victory, Genoa Central advances its record to 9-11 on the year. The Dragons travel to Ashdown (Ashdown, AR) to meet the Panthers in a 3A Region 7 battle on Tuesday, January 28. The Panthers enter the battle with a record of 8-7. Ashdown won 47-45 in their recent league battle against Prescott (Prescott, AR)
The Buckaroos now own a 5-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bismarck for a 3A Region 7 battle on Monday, January 27. Smackover will meet a Lions squad coming off a 77-32 league loss to Fouke (Fouke, AR). The Lions record now stands at 15-7.
