The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Patrick County Cougars (Stuart, VA) and the visiting Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA), observed Patrick County's basketball team overwhelm Glenvar by a score of 46-17.
The Cougars (7-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Radford (Radford, VA). The Bobcats come into the Three Rivers challenge with a 4-6 record. In their last challenge, Radford was routed by Galax (Galax, VA), 72-51, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Highlanders encounter the Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) in a Three Rivers challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Glenvar will attempt to improve on its 0-14 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 0-14 record after their 54-45 league loss to Alleghany (Covington, VA).
