Gray Stone Day Knights (Misenheimer, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls (Norwood, NC), 39-34 in a league match.
With the victory, Gray Stone Day upgrades its record to 2-10 on the year. The Knights host Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC) to face the Tigers in a 1A/2A Yadkin Valley match on Tuesday, January 28. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 9-8. Mount Pleasant lost 39-33 in their recent non-league match against Southwestern Randolph (Asheboro, NC)
The Rowdy Rebel Bulls now sport a 0-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Rowan for a non-league match on Saturday, January 25. South Stanly will face a Cavaliers squad coming off a 49-37 league loss to Salisbury (Salisbury, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 2-10.
