The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA) and the visiting Tunstall Trojans (Dry Fork, VA), observed Halifax County's basketball team edge Tunstall by a score of 44-40.

The Comets (7-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Person (Roxboro, NC). The Rockets come into the non-league challenge with a 8-9 record. In their last challenge, Person edged Cedar Ridge (Hillsborough, NC), 39-32, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Trojans encounter the Magna Vista Warriors (Ridgeway, VA) in a Piedmont challenge, on Friday, January 31. Tunstall will attempt to improve on its 5-10 season record.
