In Friday's league test, the Marshall Redhawks (Marshall, MI) basketball squad defeated the host Harper Creek Beavers (Battle Creek, MI), by a score of 60-42.

Next, the Redhawks clash with the Portage Central Mustangs (Portage, MI) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, January 28. Marshall will attempt to improve on its 9-2 season record. The Mustangs come into the test with a 7-4 record after their 45-24 league win over Portage Northern (Portage, MI).

The Beavers (4-8) will now prepare for their test against Sturgis (Sturgis, MI). The Trojans come into the non-league test with a 5-6 record. In their last test, Sturgis went down by Paw Paw (Paw Paw, MI), 70-61, in a league test.
