In Friday's league contest, the host Penn Manor Comets basketball team scored a close 54-47 triumph over the Hempfield Black Knights.
The Comets (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against J.P. McCaskey (Lancaster, PA). The Red Tornado go into the Lancaster-Lebanon 1 contest with a 1-10 record.
In their next game, the Black Knights battle the Ephrata Mountaineers (Ephrata, PA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 27. Hempfield will attempt to better on its 3-9 season record. The Mountaineers go into the contest with a 12-4 record after their 45-39 non-league loss to Manheim Township (Lancaster, PA).
