The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Salt Fork Storm (Sidell, IL) and the visiting Hoopeston Cornjerkers (Hoopeston, IL), observed Salt Fork's basketball team overcome Hoopeston by a margin of 39-25.

The Storm (21-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Iroquois West (Gilman, IL). The Raiders come into the Vermilion Valley challenge with a 10-11 record. In their last challenge, Iroquois West defeated Paxton-Buckley-Loda (Paxton, IL), 44-19, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cornjerkers battle the Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Blue Devils (Bismarck, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 27. Hoopeston will attempt to better on its 13-8 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 14-9 record after their 39-37 non-league win over Georgetown-Ridge Farm (Georgetown, IL).
