The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Sherando Warriors (Stephens City, VA) and the visiting James Wood Colonels (Winchester, VA), observed Sherando's basketball team edge James Wood by a margin of 42-35.

The Warriors (4-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Skyline (Front Royal, VA). The Hawks come into the Northwestern challenge with a 13-3 record. In their last challenge, Skyline edged Warren County (Front Royal, VA), 58-20, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Colonels battle the Kettle Run Cougars (Nokesville, VA) in a Northwestern challenge, on Saturday, January 25. James Wood will attempt to better on its 9-5 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 1-11 record after their 43-20 league loss to Meridian (Falls Church, VA).
