The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Kelso Hilanders (Kelso, WA) and the visiting Prairie Falcons (Vancouver, WA), observed Kelso's basketball team edge Prairie by a margin of 70-66.

The Hilanders (8-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Mountain View (Vancouver, WA). The Thunder come into the 3A Greater St. Helens challenge with a 9-6 record. In their last challenge, Mountain View edged Heritage (Vancouver, WA), 62-20, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Falcons battle the Skyline Spartans (Sammamish, WA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 27. Prairie will attempt to better on its 4-8 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 10-7 record after their 42-35 league win over Newport - Bellevue (Bellevue, WA).
