The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Lakeland Eagles (White Lake, MI) and the visiting Walled Lake Northern Knights (Commerce, MI), observed Lakeland's basketball team knock off Walled Lake Northern by a score of 43-33.

The Eagles (9-3) will now prepare for their challenge against South Lyon East (South Lyon, MI). The Cougars come into the Lakes Valley challenge with a 5-7 record.

In their next game, the Knights encounter the South Lyon Lions (South Lyon, MI) in a Lakes Valley challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Walled Lake Northern will attempt to improve on its 8-5 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 11-1 record after their 33-30 league win over Milford (Highland, MI).
