Utah High School Basketball - Lehi can't get by Pleasant Grove

The Lehi Pioneers basketball squad (Lehi, UT), was nudged 60-58 in Friday's league battle with the host Pleasant Grove Vikings (Pleasant Grove, UT)

With the victory, Pleasant Grove advances its record to 7-11 on the year. The Vikings host Lone Peak (Highland, UT) to meet the Knights in a 6A Region 3 battle on Friday, January 31. The Knights enter the battle with a record of 12-6. Lone Peak lost 57-52 in their recent league battle against Westlake (Saratoga Springs, UT)

The Pioneers now own a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host American Fork for a 6A Region 3 battle on Friday, January 31.

Game Summary

Game Summary: Lehi led this game early and went into the second quarter with an eight-point lead. Lehi was only able to score 7 points in the second quarter and Pleasant Grove took a 2-point lead at half time. Pleasant Grove outscored Lehi by 2 points in the third quarter. Both teams scored well in the final period, but Pleasant Grove came away with a 2-point win. Ellie Hill led Lehi with 17 points and Cali Ashton scored in double figures with 12. Pleasant Grove got a great game from star player Tabi Clark who scored 29 points.
