In Friday's league contest, the host Maple Grove Crimson basketball team scored a big 67-28 triumph over the Osseo Orioles.

The Crimson (16-2) will now prepare for their contest against Park Center (Brooklyn Park, MN). The Pirates go into the AAAA Section 5 contest with a 4-16 record. In their last contest, Park Center was trounced by Cretin-Derham Hall (St. Paul, MN), 85-76, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Orioles battle the Totino-Grace Eagles (Fridley, MN) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Osseo will attempt to better on its 4-10 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 11-5 record after their 82-53 non-league win over Robbinsdale Armstrong (Plymouth, MN).
