The South Salem Saxons basketball team scored 56 points and limited the visiting McNary Celtics to 30 in the Saxons league triumph on Friday.

The Saxons now have a 9-6 record. They play next when they travel to Lakeridge for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 28. South Salem will confront a Pacers team coming off a 45-35 league win over St. Mary's Academy (Portland, OR). The Pacers record now stands at 5-9.

With the loss, McNary falls to 4-12 on the campaign. The Celtics travel to Sprague (Salem, OR) to confront the Olympians in a 6A Central Valley game on Tuesday, January 28. The Olympians go into the game with a record of 7-9. Sprague lost 71-45 in their recent league game against West Salem (Salem, OR)
