In Friday's non-league contest, the host T.R. Miller Tigers basketball team scored a big 55-15 win over the Monroe County Tigers.
The Tigers (18-1) will now prepare for their contest against Hillcrest (Evergreen, AL). The Jaguars come into the 3A Area 2 contest with a 7-8 record. In their last contest, Hillcrest smashed Monroe County (Monroeville, AL), 52-44, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Excel Panthers (Excel, AL) in a 3A Area 2 contest, on Saturday, January 25. Monroe County will attempt to better on its 4-15 season record. The Panthers come into the contest with a 3-15 record after their 32-16 non-league win over Sweet Water (Sweet Water, AL).
