Colorado High School Basketball - Pomona nips Wheat Ridge

In Friday's league contest, the host Pomona Panthers basketball team scored a close 27-20 triumph over the Wheat Ridge Farmers.

The Panthers (3-12) will now prepare for their contest against Green Mountain (Lakewood, CO). The Rams go into the 5A/4A/3A Jeffco contest with a 15-2 record. In their last contest, Green Mountain nipped Standley Lake (Westminster, CO), 41-34, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Farmers battle the Greeley West Spartans (Greeley, CO) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 25. Wheat Ridge will attempt to better on its 1-14 season record. The Spartans go into the contest with a 2-12 record after their 57-20 league loss to Fort Collins (Fort Collins, CO).
