In Friday's league contest, the host Tom Bean Tomcats basketball team scored a good 34-25 triumph over the Trenton Tigers.
The Tomcats (13-13) will now prepare for their contest against Honey Grove (Honey Grove, TX). The Warriors go into the 2A Region II District 14 contest with a 15-11 record. In their last contest, Honey Grove topped Wolfe City (Wolfe City, TX), 44-32, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Bland Tigers (Merit, TX) in a 2A Region II District 14 contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Trenton will attempt to better on its 3-15 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 21-1 record after their 60-34 league win over Celeste (Celeste, TX).
