Washington High School Basketball - Wapato nips Kiona-Benton

In Friday's non-league contest, the host Wapato Wolves basketball team scored a close 44-39 win over the Kiona-Benton Bears.
The Wolves (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against Royal (Royal City, WA). The Knights come into the non-league contest with a 2-9 record. In their last match, Royal was nudged by Zillah (Zillah, WA), 64-24, in a non-league match.
The Bears now own a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cashmere for a non-league match on Saturday, January 25. Kiona-Benton will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 39-28 non-league win over Cle Elum-Roslyn (Cle Elum, WA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 13-0.
