Virginia High School Basketball - Fairfax knocks off Alexandria City

January 24, 2025: Alexandria, VA 22302

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Fairfax Lions (Fairfax, VA) and the host Alexandria City Titans (Alexandria, VA), observed Fairfax's basketball team overcome Alexandria City by a margin of 48-35.

The Lions (5-4) will now prepare for their challenge against West Springfield (Springfield, VA). The Spartans come into the non-league challenge with a 6-3 record. In their last challenge, West Springfield defeated Lake Braddock (Burke, VA), 65-52, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Titans battle the Friendship Collegiate Academy Knights (Washington, DC) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 25. Alexandria City will attempt to better on its 3-13 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 7-2 record after their 55-51 league loss to KIPP DC Legacy College Prep (Washington, DC).
