The Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) basketball crushed the host Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC), 64-15 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Pioneers now possess a 10-2 record. They play next when they host South Caldwell for a non-league bout on Friday, January 31. Watauga will play a Spartans team coming off a 50-41 non-league win over Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 8-7.
With the loss, Ashe County falls to 0-12 on the campaign. The Huskies host Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC) to play the Cougars in a bout on Friday, January 31. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 7-8. Alexander Central won 53-47 in their recent league bout against Freedom (Morganton, NC)
