The Vikings (4-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Starmount (Boonville, NC). The Rams come into the non-league challenge with a 10-6 record. In their last challenge, Starmount defeated Forbush (East Bend, NC), 57-52, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Buckin' Elks battle the East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Elkin will attempt to improve on its 4-13 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 10-7 record after their 48-45 non-league loss to Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC).
