The Southern School of Energy and Sustainability Spartans (Durham, NC) basketball crushed the visiting Vance County Vipers (Henderson, NC), 73-15 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Spartans now possess a 8-0 record. They play next when they host Carrboro for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 28.

With the loss, Vance County falls to 4-10 on the campaign. The Vipers travel to Warren County (Warrenton, NC) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 25. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 7-3. Warren County lost 51-48 in their recent non-league bout against Northwest Halifax (Littleton, NC)
