Virginia High School Basketball - The Covenant bests Virginia Episcopal School

The The Covenant Eagles (Charlottesville, VA) basketball toppled the host Virginia Episcopal School Bishops (Lynchburg, VA), 50-34 in Friday's league bout.

The Eagles now possess a 9-0 record. They play next when they travel to Tandem Friends for a non-league bout on Monday, January 27. The Covenant will play a Badgers team coming off a 31-20 league loss to Randolph-Macon Academy (Front Royal, VA). The Badgers record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Virginia Episcopal School falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Bishops travel to The Carmel School (Ruther Glen, VA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 25. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 1-9. The Carmel School lost 82-25 in their recent league bout against Guardian Christian Academy (Chesterfield, VA)
