Fans at Friday's league battle between the Del Campo Cougars (Fair Oaks, CA) and the host Nevada Union Miners (Grass Valley, CA), saw Del Campo's soccer squad hold off Nevada Union by a count of 1-0.

The Cougars (8-6) will now prepare for their battle against Placer (Auburn, CA). The Hillmen enter the Foothill Valley League battle with a 4-9 record. In their last battle, Placer was edged by Roseville (Roseville, CA), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Miners battle the Placer Hillmen (Auburn, CA) in a Foothill Valley League battle, on Wednesday, January 29. Nevada Union will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record.
