Fans at Friday's league battle between the James Lick Comets (San Jose, CA) and the visiting Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors (San Jose, CA), saw James Lick's soccer squad hold off Yerba Buena by a count of 2-1.

The Comets (7-3) will now prepare for their battle against Gilroy (Gilroy, CA). The Mustangs enter the BVAL - West Valley battle with a 8-2 record. In their last battle, Gilroy Independence (San Jose, CA), 1-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Aztec Warriors battle the San Jose Bulldogs (San Jose, CA) in a BVAL - West Valley battle, on Wednesday, January 29. Yerba Buena will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record.
