The Bulldogs (5-3) will now prepare for their battle against Pioneer (Mission, TX). The Diamondbacks enter the 5A Region 4 District 31 battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Pioneer tipped Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North (Pharr, TX), 5-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Javelinas confront the Sharyland Rattlers (Mission, TX) in a 5A Region 4 District 31 battle, on Tuesday, January 28. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Rattlers enter the battle with a 3-4 record after their 8-0 league win over Rowe (McAllen, TX).
