Fans at Friday's league battle between the Sotomayor Wolves (Los Angeles, CA) and the visiting Torres Toros (Los Angeles, CA), saw Sotomayor's soccer squad hold off Torres by a count of 3-2.

The Wolves (1-8) will now prepare for their battle against Marquez (Huntington Park, CA). The Gladiators enter the Southern battle with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, Marquez tipped Mendez (Los Angeles, CA), 4-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Toros confront the Maywood CES Wolfpack (Maywood, CA) in a Southern battle, on Monday, January 27. Torres will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Wolfpack enter the battle with a 7-8 record after their 7-0 league win over Elizabeth (Cudahy, CA).
