Texas High School Basketball - Pleasant Grove can't hold off Pittsburg

The Pittsburg Pirates basketball team scored 60 points and restricted the visiting Pleasant Grove Hawks to 53 in the Pirates league victory on Tuesday.
The Pirates now sport a 16-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Paris for a 4A Region II District 15 contest on Friday, January 28. Pittsburg will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 88-55 league win over Gilmer (Gilmer, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 18-5.
The Hawks (9-9) will now prepare for their contest against Liberty-Eylau (Texarkana, TX). The Leopards come into the 4A Region II District 15 contest with a 16-6 record. In their last contest, Liberty-Eylau was nudged by North Lamar (Paris, TX), 64-63, in a league contest.
