Harlan Cyclones (Harlan, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Denison-Schleswig Monarchs (Denison, IA), 63-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Harlan upgrades its record to 10-7 on the season. The Cyclones travel to Creston (Creston, IA) to play the Panthers in a Hawkeye Ten bout on Friday, January 28. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 8-8. Creston lost 79-40 in their recent league bout against Glenwood (Glenwood, IA)

Next up, the Monarchs play the Shenandoah Mustangs (Shenandoah, IA) in a Hawkeye Ten bout, on Friday, January 28. Denison-Schleswig will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 9-8 record after their 49-37 league loss to Atlantic (Atlantic, IA).
