In Tuesday's league outing, the Hanahan Hawks (Hanahan, SC) basketball squad edged the host North Charleston Cougars (North Charleston, SC), by a count of 52-49.
The Hawks (4-12) will now prepare for their outing against Battery Creek (Beaufort, SC). The Dolphins go into the AAA Region 8 outing with a 7-10 record. In their last outing, Battery Creek held off Academic Magnet (North Charleston, SC), 47-27, in a league outing.
The Cougars now hold a 2-12 record. They play next when they travel to Oceanside Collegiate Academy for a AAA Region 8 outing on Friday, January 28. North Charleston will clash with a Landsharks squad coming off a 43-36 league loss to Bishop England (Charleston, SC). The Landsharks record now stands at 9-4.
