The Forreston Cardinals basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Ashton-Franklin Center Raiders to 56 in the Cardinals league triumph on Wednesday.

The Cardinals now sport a 8-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Milledgeville for a Northwest Upstate Illini - South contest on Friday, January 27. Forreston will face a Missiles team coming off a 64-46 league loss to Fulton (Fulton, IL). The Missiles record now stands at 11-10.

With the defeat, Ashton-Franklin Center moves to 11-11 on the year. The Raiders travel to Polo (Polo, IL) to face the Marcos in a Northwest Upstate Illini - South game on Friday, January 27. The Marcos enter the game with a record of 10-14. Polo won 38-34 in their recent league game against Amboy (Amboy, IL)
