Bethune-Bowman Mohawks (Orangeburg, SC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Bridges Prep Buccaneers (Beaufort, SC), 54-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Bethune-Bowman upgrades its record to 10-7 on the season. The Mohawks travel to Whale Branch (Beaufort, SC) to play the Warriors in a A Region 7 bout on Friday, January 27. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 11-5. Whale Branch won 62-43 in their recent league bout against Allendale-Fairfax (Fairfax, SC)

Next up, the Buccaneers play the Bamberg-Ehrhardt Red Raiders (Bamberg, SC) in a A Region 7 bout, on Friday, January 27. Bridges Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 12-7 season record. The Red Raiders go into the bout with a 8-9 record after their 0-0 league Royal Live Oaks Academy (Hardeeville, SC).
